The Ascension Conspiracy by Jon King has received an average user rating of 4 out of 5 stars based on 18 customer reviews.
Category: Science Fiction
Here is the book’s description from the Amazon website:
When novelist Mark Daniel Steen discovers his true identity – his true ancestry – his life is irrevocably changed. But it’s not only that his roots are mercilessly plucked, and then re-sewn, that makes this change so all-consuming. It’s what that change demands of him. The extraterrestrials who fathered him, it seems, have a message for humankind, and unbeknown to Steen it’s a message he carries inside him: he’s been implanted with it, and now he needs to remember it.
For even as we speak, Earth is being programmed for ascension into the Fifth (either that, or descent into Hell, or a place just like it). And which of these two conflicting destinies will in the end come to pass depends solely on Steen’s remembering.
Meanwhile … global media mogul Jeremiah Ulysses Bildeberg leads a secret life. As Chair of the world’s largest corporate empire he makes and breaks economies, true. But as head of the shadowy Z12 organization set up to oppose Earth’s imminent Shift Schedule, he makes and breaks lives. Lots of them.
As Steen struggles against his own past to remember the message encoded in him, Bildeberg harbours a message all his own. In less than forty-eight hours his breed will have landed their ships, he knows, the Shift Schedule will have been scuppered and any plans for Earth’s ascension into the Fifth will have been scuppered along with it.
And not only that. With the invasion complete, Jeremiah Ulysses Bildeberg will no longer be merely the world’s wealthiest man: he’ll be its first alien President, too.
The battle for Planet Earth is on…

I have downloaded many books from your recommendations, which I appreciate immensely. I am troubled, however, by a report that Amazon financially supports the same-sex movement. Are there other resources for books for my Kindle?

I believe the Kindle can read PDF documents but you need to upload them to your Amazon cloud drive from their website anyway. The Amazon Kindle integrates seamlessly with the Amazon store, it’s just a good business model. If you are troubled by Amazon’s stance/position on something, you might want to get a different e-reader. Keep in mind, that struggling authors, or just new authors trying to get a break will choose Amazon as their distributing platform because they are the biggest supplier out there (like your local Wal-Mart). Choosing not to download their books because you don’t like the website only hurts the author, not Amazon. You already spent the money at Amazon on a Kindle, they have your cash, downloading free books doesn’t put any extra money in Amazon’s pocket.

are you kidding me?! wow. then go to chick fila and go eat your chicken nuggets.

Dang this is a site to help readers find free books. They are doing us a favor. Maybe you should be grateful for the books and leave those opinions out of it. Sounds to me like you should have done more research before buying your Kindle and you probably ought to just stay in your house so that you can control your environment. Wouldn’t want you to be around anyone that might be “scare” you.

Heather Morris Brownley I agree with you entirely on that and I suppose she will get a E-Nook now and give away the kindle for ( to me) a poor reason but everyone is entitled to their own opinion even if it’s a hurtful one to a large minority of people. I feel each person has a story to tell and there is someone that needs to hear it.

Jan Lee Eppler – there are other blogs and discussion boards regarding your concerns about what Amazon as a corporate entity supports or does not support as an organization: this is not one of those kind of blogs or discussion boards. This blog is primarily to discuss and share free book offerings in the Kindle format and tips on how to maximize a Kindle user’s enjoyment of said reading platform. While everyone has their own views on the matter, let’s put it in perspective as a final comment: if I boycotted everyone I disagreed with I might never read another book or hear another song.
